Patricia Ramos is a Registered Psychotherapist who received her master’s degree from Yorkville University in Counselling Psychology.
Patricia has 20 years of dedicated experience in private practice and works providing psychotherapy services to individuals couples and families (18 and over). Her areas of focus include relationship issues, emotional distress, anxiety, grief, trauma, self-esteem, life transitions and family Dynamics.
Patricia offers an eclectic model of therapy that is based in attachment theory and integrates interventions from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) when working with couples and Families.
When working with individual clients, Patricia uses Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive, Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Mindfulness, among others.
Her client-centered model meets clients where they are emotionally, working collaboratively to find an approach that fits her client’s needs. Patricia strives to create an emotionally safe, genuine, and warm environment so that clients feel heard and understood.
Patricia is a member in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA), and the Ontario Society of Registered Psychotherapist (OSRP).
Patricia Ramos practices at her Burlington office and offers virtual services throughout Ontario. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioural CBT, DBT, Emotionally Focus Therapy (EFT), Brief- Solution Focused, and Mindfulness Therapy.
Patricia applies a strength-based, holistic approach and offers her clients a safe space to unpack their concerns. She encompasses compassion and empathy in her client interactions and holds herself to a high standard of practice. Ongoing education and training are part of something that takes a priority in her work to provide the best practice approach to each person she works with and supervise.
